What Are Your Values?

A recent study by ComingofAge.com of Baby Boomers found that the following values are most important to the generation:

  • Autonomy and self sufficiency (independence/participation)
  • Social connectedness (relationships/friendships)
  • Altruism (opportunity to share wisdom and ability to do for others: family, community and country)
  • Personal growth (gain knowledge)
  • Revitalization (need to rejuvenate)

This is a good match to what I am hearing most from people I work with who want to achieve their dreams. These are certainly powerful values.

I’m working on something new that is based on the values shared by the Baby Boomer generation. I’d like to hear back from you. Is this a comprehensive list of the values that motivate and guide your life? Is something missing? Is something wrong on the list?
